10 patterns that inspire me

My patterns consist of nature inspired themes. I searched up patterns that could be found in nature. Since we are making patterns for the garden, I thought they would compliment the shed well. My goal is to incorporate at least a few of these designs without making it look cluttered.

Flat pack

10 Images that inspire me:

The following images inspire me because of the theme hat my group has which is fantasy. I want my flat packs to have a deeper meaning. The two characters that I am designing are cupid and a milk carton with a missing person. I want my colors to be vivid bright red colors, both signifying love and blood shed. one of the pictures that I have is a question signifying where is the love? The milk box that has a missing person will be cupid. Cupid signifies the love that is missing in the world. The  local news has been good at showing negative happenings in the world, my message is find the love in all of us. I picked an angel as a picture because they are symbolized as peaceful and pure. I want my cupid to have the colors that symbolize that. While my milk carton will have a more evil filthy look to it.

The theme is fantasy because of how cupid and a milk carton are fictional characters but they will have human like characteristics. by having arms and legs.

Two of the pictures that I  chose are not so happy ones, if you will. They inspired me to think of love as something more than just two people engaging in a relationship but love that is missing from the world. Love to get rid of war and poverty. I plan to have my background look dirty and chaotic if possible. As if something is missing/wrong.

The milk carton will have a missing person, showing cupid. Who represents love and cupid will be floating on the sky observing the world background) from afar. I plan on playing with the eyes of my characters because I believe that eyes are one of the strongest facial features, when used in drawings.

I would like to incorporate my own touch to it, I want to practice having hand drawn designs and intense textures. My goal is to learn how to use the basics of adobe illustrator and have people look at my art as an original piece of work. I hope to be proud of my final product and possibly make more flat packs for fun on my free time, if I enjoy it. I believe that all that I have just said is easier said than done but I would like to make my vision come to life.
